H.E Ms. Viviane Fock-Tave, Ambassador of Seychelles to the Kingdom of Belgium paid a courtesy call on H.E. Ambassador Kembi Gitura on Wednesday 24 February 2010.

Ambassador Kembi-Gitura welcomed the Seychelles Ambassador to the Embassy of Kenya and wished her well as she commenced her tour of duty in Belgium. The two Ambassadors appreciated the good relations between Kenya and Seychelles and they agreed to work closely together on issues of mutual interest to their countries both at the Eastern Africa Group and the ACP Group meetings. Some of the issues they discussed included the problem of piracy along the coast of the Indian Ocean and peace in Somalia. The Ambassadors noted that there was need to find a lasting solution to the problem in Somalia in order to effectively address the problem of piracy. They therefore agreed to push the matter in the agenda of the ACP.
