Amb. Weru holds media briefing with ACP countries journalists on 2nd May 2017 10/05/2017

 Ambassador Johnson Weru held a media briefing with various journalists from ACP countries on Tuesday 2nd May 2017. Kenya is the current chair of the African, Caribbean and Pacific sub-committee on Sustainable Development and it is in this capacity that Amb. Weru apprised the media on sustainable development projects, meetings and proposals in ACP member countries. Specific emphasis was put on the implementation of the Paris Agreement on Climate Change, especially in the run up to COP 23 in Bonn, Germany. There were also discussions on the Ocean Governance and the Blue Economy and how ACP states can effectively participate in the High Level United Nations Conference on Oceans and Seas to support the implementation of Sustainable Goal 14
