Hon. Keter, Kenya CS Energy visits Belgium in March 2017 21/03/2017

Hon. Charles Keter, Kenya Cabinet Secretary for Energy  made an official visit to the Kingdom of Belgium from 19th - 20th March 2017. During the visit, Hon. Keter signed the International Energy Charter, making Kenya the 83rd signatory to the Charter. The Charter seeks to promote cooperation in energy development among member states while also also enhancing open markets and sustainable development.

 

During the visit, Hon. Keter also paid a courtesy call on H.E. Pieter De Crem, Secretary of State for Foreign Trade at the Belgian Foreign Ministry. The parties discussed bilateral cooperation between Belgium and Kenya under Finexpo. The Kingdom of Belgium has supported several energy initiatives in Kenya such as the Ngong Hills wind power project and extension of voltage transimision lines .
