  • Kenyan Professors attend ACP-EU Conference 11/07/2016

    Professors attending Higher Education conferenceH.E. Ambassador Johnson Weru held a consultative meeting with a delegation of Kenyan professors attending a  Joint Stakeholders Conference at the ACP House in Brussels from 5 to 6 July 2016. The conference was organized by the African, Caribbean and Pacific Group of States (ACP) Secretariat, the European Commission's Directorate-General for International Cooperation & Development (DEVCO), the Technical Assistance Units (TAUs) of the ACP-EU Cooperation Programme in Higher Education (EDULINK II), the ACP Science & Technology Programme (ACP S&T) and the ACP Caribbean and Pacific Research Programme for Sustainable Development.  It brought together in a networking event, representatives of the grant beneficiaries within the three programmes, as well as other high level stakeholders in the ACP Group of States Tertiary and Education & Research sectors.

    The Kenyan delegation, which comprised 14 professors, was drawn from the Ministry of Education, Science & Technology, the Commission for University Education, and public universities and research institutions.

    During the briefing, the Embassy and the delegation explored ways on enhancing collaboration between Kenyan universities and those in the host country.
