Amb. Weru Meets with Lithuanian Diplomat 13/05/2016

On Friday 13 May 2016, Amb. Johnson Weru hosted Mr. Valdas Verbus, Counsellor of the Embassy of Lithuania in Belgium, in his office, to engage on how to deepen the relationship between the two countries.

In December 2015, the Government of Lithuania opened a Consulate in Nairobi, the 3rd such Consulate in Africa. This demonstrates the great confidence and willingness in fostering partnerships between Kenya and Lithuania politically, economically and culturally.

Following the meeting, both sides agreed to initiate steps towards bilateral talks between the Foreign Ministers of the respective countries, so as to drive this agenda further.
