  • HE Weru pays Courtesy Call on Flemish Minister-President 29/02/2016

    HE Amb Weru and Flemish minister-president BourgeoisOn 26 February 2016, Ambassador Johnson Weru paid a courtesy call on the Minister-President of the Flemish Government, Mr. Geert Bourgeois, at his office in Brussels.

    The Ambassador and the Minister-President discussed areas of mutual interest between the Flemish Government and the Republic of Kenya. Kenya has in the past received support from the Flemish Government, including the donation of marine research vessel MV Mtafiti in 2013, training and capacity building in marine research between the Flanders Marine Institute (VLIZ) and the Kenya Marine and Fisheries Research Institute (KEMFRI), and cooperation between educational institutions under the VLI-UOS. The visit was intended to deepen the areas of cooperation between the two Governments.
