Kenyans attended Turnhout Town Hall Meeting 06/03/2015
H.E. Ambassador Johnson Weru, accompanied by Kenya Embassy officials, presided over an Ambassador’s Baraza/Town Hall meeting in Turnhout, on Saturday 28 February 2015. He discussed with the Kenyans who attended various topical social, political and economic issues of concern to Kenyans living abroad. Embassy staff also provided information on consular issues.
On Sunday 1 March 2015, the Ambassador and his delegation joined Kenyans and other global citizens for a church service at the Christian Missionary Society, Turnhout, where the congregation was urged to continue praying for Kenya and its leadership.
Later that day, the Kenyan delegation, accompanied by Kenyans residing in Turhout, paid a courtesy call on His Worship the Mayor of Turnhout, Mr. Eric Vos, where they discussed a wide range of issues of mutual interest to the entities they represent.
