Afrika Filmfestival 31/03/2014
The Embassy was honoured to be a part of the Afrika Film Festival 2014, which held an evening specifically for a Kenyan film, “Something Necessary”. The film was directed by Judy Kibinge, an upcoming Kenyan artist who sought to bring out the challenges Kenyans faced after the post-election violence. It was a heart wrenching film, depicting the struggle of a woman whose world is turned upside down after the violence.
The film festival ends on 6 April 2014, continuing to showcase a variety of films, Kenyan ones amongst others from African regions.
We thank the organizers and all Kenyans who came to support the respect for diversity and different cultures.
