Courtesy call by Kenya National Chamber of Commerce & Industry 14/11/2013
H.E. Amb. Johnson Weru welcomed a delegation from the Kenya National Chamber of Commerce and Industry (KNCCI) to the Kenyan Embassy in Brussels on 12 November 2013. It was led by the National Chairman, Mr. Kiprono Kittony, and further comprised Mr. Charles N. Kahuthu, Regional Coordinator and C.E.O of the East African Chamber of Commerce, Industry and Agriculture (EACCIA), and Ms Lucy Muchoki, National Vice-Chair of the Agricultural Board of KNCCI .
The delegation was in Brussels attending a meeting on Private Sector Support (PSS) in the African, Caribbean and Pacific Group of States (ACP) countries, organized by the ACP Secretariat. The meeting discussed ways to promote Kenya’s economic diplomacy, trade, investment and agribusiness. In addition, preparations and private sector support towards Kenya@50 celebrations were also discussed. The Embassy and the Kenya National Chamber of Commerce and Industry pledged to support each other in all endeavours towards the achievement of the Kenya Vision 2030, and in the implementation of Kenya’s Economic Diplomacy Policy Framework.
