Mashujaa Day celebration attended by Deputy President Ruto 30/10/2013
The Deputy President, H.E. William Samoei Ruto, joined Kenyans living and working in Europe for Mashujaa Day celebrations on 20 October 2013 at Palais de Colonies in Tervuren near Brussels.
The Mashujaa Day celebrations were marked with pomp and colour, and included a thanksgiving inter-denominational service, followed by lunch and a photo session with the Deputy President. Kenyans from various countries in Europe were represented and joined the Deputy President and his delegation of Kenyan ministers and Senate members in celebrating the heroes who fought for Kenya’s independence almost 50 years ago.
Amb. Johnson Weru of Belgium and Amb. Makena Muchiri of the Netherlands played host to the dignitaries and the Kenyan diaspora that turned out.
