Request for input on Jubilee celebrations 03/09/2013

The Republic of Kenya will be celebrating 50 years of independence on 12 December 2013. Subsequently, the Government of Kenya has commenced arrangements for fitting ceremonies and activities to celebrate the day, and to recognize some of the important events, people and places that have helped shape our country’s history and rich diversity.

The Kenya Mission to Belgium and Luxembourg has, therefore, dedicated a web link to the Diaspora which will serve as a ‘one-stop shop’ for exchange and collation of information pertaining to the 50th anniversary event. The Diaspora remains a key partner in marking the Jubilee celebrations; it is to this end that the Kenyan Embassy in Brussels wishes to reach out to Kenyan nationals, their dependants, friends and well-wishers to submit their input, proposals or suggestions of activities for consideration and support by the Mission and the National Kenya @ 50 Steering Committee.
