    • Kenya’s National Food Safety Coordinating Committee visits EU  20/02/2013

    Dr Songa signs visitors book Kenya’s National Food Safety Coordinating Committee had an official consultative meeting with COLEACP and the EU in Brussels in February 2013, focusing on enhancing sustainable quality fresh produce exports from Kenya into the EU Market.  Among the issues discussed was Kenya’s “National Quality Management Protocol for Fresh Produce Exports”, as the EU remains a major market destination for Kenya’s fresh produce. COLEACP is a network of producers/exporters from the African, Caribbean and Pacific (ACP) countries and importers from the EU of horticultural produce.

    Agriculture delegationThe delegation, headed by the Agriculture Secretary of the Ministry of Agriculture, Dr. Wilson Songa, and consisting of representatives from both the public and the private sector, also visited the Kenyan Embassy.
